With twenty years of experience marketing global and local brands in Canada and the US, Leslie began the Selo Studios practice in 2016 to provide marketing and advertising services to a variety of clients–both BtoC and BtoB.

While working in advertising agencies in New York City on brands including UnitedHealthcare, Bayer, Anheuser-Busch, Universal Studios Orlando, Capital One Bank, and Almay Cosmetics, Leslie helped build many iconic brands and had the opportunity to collaborate with a vast network of incredible creative talent. During that time, she noticed a shift in working styles amongst the top-tier talent in the industry to a more flexible approach and wanted to lead projects and campaigns with smaller, more nimble teams. Thus, she began the Selo Studios practice–a collective of exceptional professionals from her network who bring the right expertise to each project.

Leslie has a BA in Communications from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and began her career within the WPP network at Ogilvy & Mather and J. Walter Thompson. She then transitioned to digital-first agencies and boutique creative shops including Mother NY and Vayner Media. She also has internal marketing team experience having sat on the executive leadership team at Nolan Ryan Brands for three years as their VP of Marketing. This has equipped Leslie with the skills to provide guidance to both creative agency and in-house marketing teams.
